1. Manual Method

Once all the steps mentioned above are completed, the latest firmware version of the extender is updated.
2. Using the check button
l Connect your preferred device to the Netgear extender.
l Download the latest Netgear firmware version for your extender.
l Open your web browser and go to the mywifiext.net page.
l Sign in to the website with your credentials.
l On the Netgear Genie wizard, click on 'Firmware Alternative.'
l Complete all the given steps or procedures by clicking on the check button.
After you have completed all these steps, please wait for the extender to restart and prepare for fresh updates.
3. Netgear Genie App
There is an app known as Netgear Genie, which is used to update the firmware version. This app is compatible with all the operating system versions, like the desktop, mobile, or tablet. Follow the below steps to easily upgrade the extender.
l Open the Netgear Genie application on your device and go to Settings.
l Sign in to your account with your credentials.
l Click on the firmware upgrade option on the app.
l If any new update is available, then a popup will be displayed on the screen.
l On the popup, click on yes to continue the firmware updating process.

Reset Netgear Extender

l Take a pin and put it in the Netgear extender's reset hole.
l Press and hold it and then quickly release it from the hole.
l Now, your Netgear device is successfully reset.
